Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Logistics and Supply Chain Officer to oversee and optimize our end-to-end logistics, procurement, inventory, and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing local and international supply chains, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of goods, and maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This role involves strategic coordination with vendors, banks, transporters, and internal departments to support project needs, control costs, and improve operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage inventory by maintaining a detailed and up-to-date database of available stock and projected usage per project;
  • Place orders or issue contracts in accordance with company policies, ensuring compliance with end-client requirements;
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks’ international departments and oversee LC processes including opening, amendments, and timely shipment arrangements;
  • Plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations by liaising with suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customs clearing agents;
  • Ensure all transactions are conducted in a transparent, fair, and accountable manner;
  • Participate in selecting the appropriate mode of transport and vehicle type for the movement of goods based on requirements;
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for logistics operations such as warehousing, shipping, inventory, and procurement;
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, and driving cost optimization initiatives;
  • Verify carrier compliance with company standards and procedures for product transit and delivery;
  • Monitor the accuracy and completeness of import documentation as required by banks, customs, and other regulatory bodies;
  • Contribute to the development of long-term strategies aimed at increasing operational efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure the supply of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices;
  • Review and assess the impact of logistical changes, such as routing, shipping modes, volumes, and carriers;
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards, and oversee the security of facilities, inventory, and equipment;
  • Ensure that all operational and rented vehicles are equipped with GPS devices and actively monitored for movement tracking;
  • Manage other tasks related to logistics and supply chain activities.

Requirements

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Management, and or related fields

Additional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of identifying bottlenecks and implementing continuous improvement;
  • Proven experience in managing multiple logistics projects simultaneously;
  • Strong understanding of cost analysis, budget management, and financial reporting;
  • Ability to build strong relationships with vendors and third-party service providers;
  • In-depth understanding of trade regulations, customs requirements, and compliance standards;
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, supply chain management software, and data analytics;
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to minimizing operational disruption;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination 

Working experience:

  • 6+ years’ experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations.
