The Store Supervisor manages store operations by monitoring inventory, organizing staff work schedules, and providing store performance reports. Store Supervisors also manage junior staff, conduct inventory, update store records and perform other related duties that ensure the successful running of the store.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure inventory stock control and warehouse activities are maintained in a professional manner;
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date documentation for all goods received and dispatched;
- Manage the issuance of Goods Receiving Note, Store Issue Voucher, and gate passes to internal and external customers as required;
- Ensure smooth and effective functioning of the store by planning, organizing, and controlling the overall operations;
- File and distribute documents as required and supervise team members with the preparation of weekly reports regarding goods movements, damage, or loss;
- Coordinate testing and inspection of delivered stock and return the rejected items to the supplier in a timely manner;
- Ensure products are kept in excellent condition and adequate stock levels are maintained all the time;
- Coordinate with procurement department to schedule well-timed delivery and receipt of products;
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security of the warehouse staff at all levels;
- Develops and maintains a pleasant and conducive working environment with colleagues;
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned warehouse staff;
- Plan and supervise casual laborers and ensure proper work ethics is in place;
- Effectively implement warehouse management policies and procedures all the time;
- Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
Academic qualification
- BA in Supply Chain Management and/ related business fields;
Work Experience: 4+ years of experience, of which in a supervisory role.
Additional Qualification:
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Self-motivated and result-oriented;
- Previous supervisor experience is advantageous;
