Job Summary:

The Financial Controller is responsible for managing the organization’s financial and accounting operations by working closely with the Executive Leadership team to deliver reports, analysis findings, potential risk areas and forecast opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities

● Collaborates with managers to develop budgets for the business, usually on a monthly or quarterly basis;

● Ensure accounting entries (including revenue recognition and accruals) are held in accordance with IFRS;

● Reconcile the monthly financial reporting with the underlying supporting documentation from accounting, Procurement, HR and operations units;

● Monitor debtor and creditor positions and conduct appropriate follow-up to clear the outstanding balance and ensure its recoverability;

● Review the ledger of the book accounts and support the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing procedures;

● Preparing month-end reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements;

● Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;

● Develop financial models and cash flow projections and analyze results to make recommendations for prospect actions;

● Support the internal control system all the time, implement and improve the processes and procedures of financial transactions;

● Ensure financial movements are in line with finance & sales policies and procedures;

● Monitor inventory movements and carefully review the weekly and monthly counting reports;

● Measuring company performance against external and internal benchmarks;

● Recommending changes in policies or procedures that will improve financial performance;

● Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings;

● Develop and adhere to policies and procedures.

● knowledge in using ERP system is advantageous;


Academic Qualification

● BA Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, preferably in manufacturing sector

Experience: 4+ years of experience in related areas.
