Job Summary:

The position holder is responsible for the overall planning, controlling, and ordering of food and beverages and must comply with food safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all food and beverage operations to ensure they meet profitability targets while maintaining high service and product standards.
  • Lead the F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training, and appraising talented personnel.
  • Foster a positive working environment and ensure high levels of staff engagement and performance.
  • Review and update the menu regularly, ensuring items reflect customer preferences and market trends. Periodically assess and adjust menu pricing to ensure profitability.
  • Identify and respond proactively to customer needs, concerns, and feedback. Ensure guests' requests are handled promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional service.
  • Monitor food and beverage quality and consistency, collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Oversee food and beverage ordering, forecasting needs, and ensuring timely deliveries from suppliers. Control stock levels to minimize waste and optimize usage.
  • Enforce policies, procedures, and KPIs for the F&B department. Ensure all areas, including dining rooms, tables, and service counters, are consistently clean and well-presented.
  •  Build and maintain positive relationships with food and beverage suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring reliable product delivery.
  • Assist in preparing the F&B department budget, monitor financial performance, and take corrective actions as needed to meet profitability goals.
  • Accurately forecast food and beverage consumption, ensuring the department is stocked to meet customer demand while minimizing waste.
  • Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and that any issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards, in compliance with local laws and company policies.
  • Manage staff schedules and operational checklists to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the F&B department.

Requirements

Academic qualification 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Years of experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food and beverage management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
