Job Summary:

we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Surveyor to join our team. The Senior Surveyor will be responsible for leading and overseeing a variety of surveying project activities, ensuring accurate data collection, and providing expert guidance to junior surveyors. This role requires a strong background in construction, and engineering surveying with a focus on precision, safety, and project delivery.  

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage surveying activities from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the survey process are executed efficiently and accurately;
  • Conduct detailed land and property surveys using the latest surveying equipment, including total stations, GNS and RTK;
  • Analyze and interpret survey data to create precise maps, plans, and reports, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards;
  • Provide technical expertise and mentoring to junior surveyors and technicians, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge;
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to integrate survey data into design and construction projects;
  • Review and verify survey results for accuracy and compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and relevant legislation;
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of survey data, including measurements, reports, and drawings;
  • Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion of surveying tasks within the specified timeframe;
  • Identify and resolve any technical challenges encountered during the project life time;
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and best practices in all surveying activities;
  • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in surveying technology and methods, implementing innovations where appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of professional surveying experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role;
  • Experience in water distribution or related infrastructure projects will be an add value;
  • Proficiency in using modern surveying equipment and software (e.g., Auto-CAD, RTK, and Total Stations).

Additional Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of boundary definitions, and surveying regulations;
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports;
  • Able to interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members;
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of surveyors and technicians;
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in managing budgets and timelines.
