We are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resource Officer to join our manufacturing team. This key role will oversee a wide range of HR functions to ensure the effective management of our workforce. The position holder will be responsible for leading recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and ensuring overall compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract and hire qualified employees for various manufacturing positions;
- Develop and maintain job descriptions, conduct interviews, and ensure smooth on-boarding processes for new hires;
- Collaborate with department heads to assess staffing needs and forecast workforce requirements;
- Maintain employee satisfaction through engagement initiatives and effective communication;
- Work with department managers to address performance issues and implement corrective actions;
- Monitor training effectiveness and ensure alignment with business objectives;
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, health and safety regulations, and industry standards;
- Review and update HR policies and procedures to reflect changes in legislation or company practices;
- Assist in the administration of compensation structures and employee benefits programs;
- Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to ensure adherence to safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment;
- Promote employee wellness initiatives and ensure that all workers understand health and safety practices;
- Prepare regular reports on HR metrics, employee turnover, absenteeism, and other key performance indicators;
- Provide guidance and support in resolving conflicts and ensuring a positive work environment;
- Perform other duties assigned and delegated by the General Manager.
Requirements
Academic qualification
- BA/MBA in Management/Human Resource or related fields
Additional qualifications
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, employee relations, and manufacturing industry-specific regulations.
- Proven experience in recruitment, employee engagement, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in English, both writing and speaking is essential
Years of experience:
- 6+ years proved work experience in the manufacturing sector.
