Job Position: Network Administrator

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Network Administrator to oversee and maintain our organization's network systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. This role is essential to ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency across the company.  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points;
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure the network is reliable and secure;
• Implement and maintain network security measures, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems;
• Perform routine network assessments and upgrades to ensure scalability and performance;
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure network resources meet the needs of the organization;
• Manage network backups and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity;
• Conduct network capacity planning and forecasting to anticipate future network needs;
• Administer and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and IP addressing schemes;
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users regarding network-related issues;
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in networking to improve efficiency and security;
• Perform other duties assigned by your supervisor

Requirements

Academic qualification 

• BA in Computer Science, Information Technology or related IT fields

Additional qualifications 

• Strong knowledge of network protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting;
• Hands-on experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points;
• In-depth understanding of network security best practices and techniques;
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team;
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Years of experience: 

• 5+ years’ proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role
