We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our growing finance team, who is passionate about accounting and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks, preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accuracy in all financial processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with processing and reconciling invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring timely payments and collections;
- Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledger accounts, and bank reconciliations;
- Support the month-end and year-end closing process by preparing necessary accounting entries and assisting in the preparation of financial statements;
- Ensure all business expenses are recorded accurately and in a timely manner, assisting with expense reports and reconciliations;
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documents, including balance sheets, income statements, and tax filings;
- Help with payroll processing, ensuring that all staff payments are accurate and made on time;
- Enter financial data into accounting software and maintain an organized filing system for all financial records and documents;
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting audit processes;
- Other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
Academic qualification
- BA in Accounting and Finance
Additional qualifications
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting;
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in managing financial data;
- Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines;
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well with colleagues and external partners;
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism;
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented mindset.
Years of experience: 0-1 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with internships or practical experience
