Job Summary:

We are seeking a Junior IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance and support to our internal team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of our IT systems. You will be the go-to person for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, offering first-line support, and helping with system updates and maintenance.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner;
  • Set up and configure new hardware and software for employees;
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and software;
  • Help maintain and monitor IT infrastructure, ensuring everything is running smoothly;
  • Document and track technical issues and resolutions in our support system;
  • Assist with system backups, updates, and general IT maintenance;
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff on more complex technical issues and projects;
  • Ensure IT equipment is maintained, functioning correctly, and ready for use;
  • Other tasks instructed by supervisor

Requirements

Academic qualification 

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field.

Additional qualifications 

  • A basic understanding of IT systems, networks, and hardware components;
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux,..) and common software applications;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively;
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team;
  • A willingness to learn and grow in the IT field;
  • Some experience in IT support, internships, or technical coursework is a plus.

  • 1+ years of experience in IT support or a related field at a company level
