We are seeking a Junior IT Support Technician to provide technical assistance and support to our internal team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of our IT systems. You will be the go-to person for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, offering first-line support, and helping with system updates and maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person;
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner;
- Set up and configure new hardware and software for employees;
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems and software;
- Help maintain and monitor IT infrastructure, ensuring everything is running smoothly;
- Document and track technical issues and resolutions in our support system;
- Assist with system backups, updates, and general IT maintenance;
- Collaborate with senior IT staff on more complex technical issues and projects;
- Ensure IT equipment is maintained, functioning correctly, and ready for use;
- Other tasks instructed by supervisor
Requirements
Academic qualification
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field.
Additional qualifications
- A basic understanding of IT systems, networks, and hardware components;
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux,..) and common software applications;
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team;
- A willingness to learn and grow in the IT field;
- Some experience in IT support, internships, or technical coursework is a plus.
