Job Position: Quality Control Manager – Electrical & Construction Works

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to oversee and manage the quality assurance processes for electrical and construction works. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all projects comply with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. You will lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality control procedures, providing guidance to the project teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient electrical and construction solutions.  

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control policies, procedures, and guidelines for electrical and construction works;
• Monitor and inspect electrical installations, systems, and construction processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards;
• Perform regular site inspections to identify any potential quality issues or deviations and recommend corrective actions;
• Manage the quality control team, providing training, guidance, and support as needed;
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for quality control inspections, test results, and corrective actions;
• Track and report on the status of quality-related issues and resolutions to senior management and clients;
• Ensure all projects comply with applicable national and international electrical and construction standards, building codes, safety regulations, and environmental requirements;
• Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards, or other relevant certifications;
• Stay updated with industry trends, codes, and regulatory changes to ensure the organization’s compliance;
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other teams to address quality concerns and enhance construction and electrical work performance;
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality of materials and equipment meets project specifications;
• Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve processes;
• Initiate and drive continuous improvement strategies to enhance project quality, efficiency, and safety;
• Provide quality control training to project staff, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure awareness and adherence to quality standards;
• Promote a culture of quality and safety within the team and the broader project environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 
• Relevant certifications in quality control and construction management are a plus.

Years of Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality control management, preferably in electrical and construction industries;

Additional Skills:

• Strong knowledge of electrical and construction project specifications, codes, and industry standards;
• Proficiency in using quality management software, MS Office, and other project management tools;
• Proven experience in managing and implementing quality control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations;
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various teams and stakeholders;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
