We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) to lead and drive the growth of our organization through strategic business development initiatives. The CBDO will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential and existing partners, and ensuring the company's long-term growth and profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s overall business development strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives;
- Lead market analysis, competitive intelligence, and opportunity identification to drive growth and increase market share;
- Collaborate with senior management to refine and implement long-term growth strategies;
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams across existing and new markets;
- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and investors;
- Work with cross-functional teams to explore and exploit new market opportunities, driving expansion into new regions and sectors;
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key business partners, clients, and stakeholders;
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to build brand visibility and foster strategic partnerships;
- Lead and mentor the business development team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and goal achievement;
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creative thinking and innovation to generate business leads and partnerships;
- Lead high-level negotiations and manage contracts, ensuring favorable terms and long-term value for the company;
- Oversee the structuring and closing of key deals, ensuring alignment with organizational goals;
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities;
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market intelligence to inform strategic business decisions;
- Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to establish revenue growth targets and performance metrics;
- Monitor performance against targets and adjust strategies to maximize business development outcomes.
Requirements
Academic qualification
- MBA/BA Degree in Marketing, Management & Economics /BSc or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture is Advantageous.
