Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our production team. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various machines used in our manufacturing processes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of machines, producing high-quality products, and meeting production goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, and operate machines according to the specified production requirements and safety standards;
  • Monitor machine performance during the production process and adjust settings to ensure efficient operation;
  • Ensure all machine parameters are set according to the product specifications and quality standards;
  • Operate machinery such as CNC machines, presses, molding machines, etc.while following operational procedures;
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on machines to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines, such as jams, malfunctions, or quality inconsistencies, in a timely manner;
  • Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and other preventive maintenance tasks on machines;
  • Report any major technical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team or supervisor;
  • Inspect products during and after production to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications;
  • Conduct regular checks on machine output, measuring key parameters such as dimensions, weight, and other quality control metrics;
  • Ensure that any defective products are removed or reworked as necessary, and report quality issues to the production supervisor;
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all tools and materials are properly stored and accessible;
  • Report any unsafe working conditions or incidents immediately to management;
  • Accurately record production data, including machine settings, output quantities, and downtime;
  • Assist in preparing production reports for management, highlighting any issues or concerns during the manufacturing process;
  • Maintain logs of machine maintenance and repair activities;

Requirements

Academic qualification 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Additional training or certifications in machine operation or industrial equipment is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Good communication skills and the ability to report issues and collaborate with others effectively;
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to operate and troubleshoot industrial machines;
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment;
  • Basic math and measurement skills to ensure accuracy in production and quality control;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset;

Years of experience: 

  • At least 2 years of experience as a machine operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with CNC, injection molding machines, assembly line equipment is preferred.
