We are looking for a Sales & Inventory Officer who will be responsible for managing product inventory levels, processing sales transactions, and ensuring accurate stock tracking and reporting. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the sales process and maintaining efficient inventory control systems to meet customer demand and prevent stock outs or overstocking.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor daily sales and update inventory records accordingly using inventory management systems;
- Coordinate with the sales and warehouse teams to ensure timely order processing, stock dispatch, and delivery;
- Conduct regular stock reconciliations and physical inventory counts to identify and resolve discrepancies;
- Track incoming and outgoing stock, and ensure proper documentation of all inventory movements;
- Prepare and analyze inventory reports, including stock aging, slow-moving items, and reorder levels;
- Maintain accurate sales records and generate invoices, delivery notes, and receipts in a timely manner;
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of products;
- Work closely with procurement and sales teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal stock levels;
- Identify stock shortages and coordinate timely replenishment to avoid disruptions in sales;
- Assist in investigating and reporting inventory losses, damages, and variances for corrective action;
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end stock audits in collaboration with the finance and audit teams;
- Other tasks assigned by your immediate supervisor.
Requirements;
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or related field.
Additional Skills
- Solid understanding of inventory management principles and best practices;
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory/sales software (e.g., ERP systems);
- Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills.;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate across departments;
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- High level of integrity and accountability.
