We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Assistant Factory Manager to join our team in supporting the efficient day-to-day operations of our wood production facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in wood or furniture manufacturing, and a passion for quality craftsmanship. The Factory Manager will be in charge to oversee production schedules, staff performance, equipment maintenance, and quality control to ensure that customer orders are completed on time and to the highest standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising the entire wood production process from raw material intake to finished goods;
- Coordinate daily production schedules to meet order deadlines and optimize resource utilization;
- Monitor production lines to ensure efficient workflow, minimizing downtime and bottlenecks;
- Ensure that machinery, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and serviced regularly to prevent breakdowns;
- Implement strict quality control measures at each stage of the production process;
- Conduct inspections of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications;
- Resolve product quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence;
- Supervise and support production team leaders, carpenters, and machine operators in their daily tasks;
- Train and mentor production staff on equipment operation, safety procedures, and production techniques;
- Promote a safe working environment by identifying potential hazards and enforcing preventive measures;
- Assist in monitoring and controlling stock levels of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods;
- Prepare regular production reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and resource needs;
- Work closely with the Factory Manager, Procurement, Quality Control, and Sales teams to ensure smooth coordination between departments.

- Understanding of wood properties, joinery techniques, and finishing processes;
- Experience in managing multi-skilled workers in a factory setting;
- Excellent planning and coordination abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing production demands;
- Ability to interpret production data, analyze trends, and suggest improvements;
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements for manufacturing environments;
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
- Open to learning new production technologies and methods.
Qualification
• Diploma or Degree in Industrial Management, Wood Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Excellent understanding of the furniture production process and new product development
Work Experience
- 5+ years of experience, furniture manufacturing or production sector prior experience is highly required.
