Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and eager-to-learn Junior Procurement & Logistics Coordinator to support the procurement and logistics team in daily operations, execute routine tasks, ensure accurate documentation, and contribute to efficient sourcing and distribution processes. The Junior Procurement & Logistics Coordinator will assist in procurement administration, logistics coordination, and inventory tracking, gaining hands-on experience while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal procedures in full alignment with relevant customs regulations, and company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and processing procurement documents, including, quotations collection, purchase orders, and delivery follow-ups;
  • Support logistics arrangements such as transportation booking, shipment tracking, customs documentation preparation, and warehouse coordination;
  • Maintain and update inventory records, perform basic stock checks, and report on stock levels;
  • Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to facilitate smooth operations and resolve minor issues;
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation of procurement and logistics records for easy retrieval and audit compliance;
  • Adhere to procurement thresholds, ethical guidelines, and local supplier preferences as per regulations;
  • Monitor routine supplier deliveries and report delays or discrepancies;
  • Assist in preparing basic reports on procurement progress, logistics activities, and inventory status;
  • Perform administrative tasks including data entry, correspondence, and filing related to procurement and logistics;
  • Support senior team members in tender processes, bid documentation, and basic evaluations when required;
  • Contribute to identifying simple process improvements and cost-saving opportunities;
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Procurement & Logistics Supervisor or Manager.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Management, or related fields. 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Entry-level experience or internship in procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and willingness to learn procurement/inventory software;
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with suppliers and team members;
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and ethical conduct;
  • Fluency in English and Amharic; additional local languages are a plus;
  • Eagerness to learn, adaptability, and ability to work effectively in a team under supervision;
  • Basic analytical and multitasking abilities.

Work Experience:1 - 2 years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain.
