we are looking for a Logistics Coordinator, who will oversee and manage the daily logistics operations to ensure the smooth movement of goods, materials, and products across our supply chain. The position holder will work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries, manage inventory, and optimize transportation processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete shipment lifecycle, from receiving orders and planning delivery schedules to ensuring timely dispatch and arrival of goods;
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers, freight carriers, and suppliers to secure competitive rates and optimal service levels;
- Negotiate transportation costs, terms, and timelines with vendors, ensuring that service agreements are adhered to address any service failures or issues swiftly to minimize disruptions;
- Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure that orders are processed on time;
- Ensure that goods are properly tracked throughout the supply chain to maintain visibility and reduce the risk of errors;
- Plan and coordinate efficient routes and schedules for shipments, balancing cost-effectiveness with timely deliveries;
- Ensure that all documentation complies with legal and regulatory requirements, both locally and internationally, to avoid delays and penalties;
- Proactively identify potential logistics issues or disruptions before they affect operations, including delivery delays, transportation errors, or customs issues;
- Serve as the key point of contact between logistics, sales, customer service, procurement, and warehouse teams;
- Prepare and present detailed reports on shipment status, delivery performance, delays, and inventory levels;
- Continuously assess and review logistics and supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement;
- Recommend and implement strategies to streamline operations, reduce costs, enhance delivery performance, and improve overall supply chain efficiency;
- Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices that could contribute to the company’s logistics operations.
Requirements
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related fields
Working experience: 4+ years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination roles
Additional skills:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with vendors, customers, and internal teams;
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and results-driven mindset;
- Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve logistics-related issues under pressure;
- Knowledge of customs regulations and international shipping is a plus;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
