Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Operations Supervisor (Production) to oversee daily production operations within our manufacturing facility. The role is responsible for ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely while meeting quality standards and production targets. The successful candidate will supervise production staff, monitor workflow, enforce compliance with safety and quality regulations, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production activities to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective operations;
  • Monitor production schedules, adjusting workflows to meet deadlines and targets;
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are properly used, maintained, and reported for servicing as required;
  • Assign tasks, monitor employee performance, and provide feedback or corrective action when necessary;
  • Identify areas for process improvement and support implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Monitor and analyze production data, identifying bottlenecks and proposing corrective measures;
  • Work with cross-functional teams (quality, maintenance, logistics) to enhance efficiency;
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including shift reports, downtime, and material usage;
  • Provide regular reports to management on performance, production challenges, and resource needs;
  • Promote teamwork, discipline, and a culture of accountability within the production unit;
  • Enforce adherence to quality standards, company procedures, and industry regulations;
  • Monitor production output and ensure compliance with product specifications on top of monitoring workplace health, safety, and environmental policies;
  • Investigate and report safety incidents or non-conformance issues;
  • Ensure compliance with documentation and reporting requirements for audits.

Requirements

Academic qualification 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations;
  • Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff;
  • Good problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and production management software/ERP systems is an advantage;
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Years of experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing/production
