This role includes developing and implementing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, and maintaining a reliable supply chain. The Procurement Manager will collaborate with internal teams to identify procurement needs, evaluate potential vendors, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Additionally, the role will focus on maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring that the quality, price, and delivery timelines meet the company's requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all procurement activities including per-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management;
- Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve the business partnership;
- Preparing and negotiating contracts with suppliers that have certifications, accreditation, and insurance, along with a steady stream of materials that fit within company budget;
- Ensure the on-going feasibility of signed contract agreement with vendors and make the required adjustments as required;
- Overseeing procurement administration activities, such as storage, distribution and contract execution;
- Manage and motivate a procurement team to achieve organizational objectives and make difficult decisions;
- Ensure the procurement strategy, policy, and procedures are fully implemented and compliant with legal requirements;
- Manage overall direction, coordination and evaluation of procurement activities;
- Prepare a Request for Quotations (RFQ) and manage competitive bidding cycles;
- Perform risk assessments on potential procurement contracts and agreements;
- Manage procurement budgets, strategies, and payment processes;
- Other tasks assigned by your immediate supervisor.
Requirements
Qualification: BA/MA in Procurement and Supply Management or related fields
Additional skills
- Strong leadership skill able to oversee the entire procurement lifecycle
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and efficiency.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Manage contracts, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Monitor market trends and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business needs.
Working experience: 8+ years of experience in similar or related fields
