Job Summary:

On behalf of our clients, we are hiring a Retail Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail stores, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and an excellent customer experience. You will lead a team of retail staff, manage inventory, implement sales strategies, and ensure that all stores comply with company policies and industry standards. Your role will be crucial in driving the success of our retail business while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of retail stores, ensuring optimal performance across all locations;
  • Ensure smooth and efficient store operations, including stock management, visual merchandising, and customer service;
  • Implement and monitor store processes, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry best practices;
  •  Lead, train, and motivate retail staff to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets;
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing training, and implement development plans for staff members;
  • Manage inventory levels, ensure the availability of products, and minimize stock outs and overstock situations;
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and increase profitability across retail locations;
  •  Analyze sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and take corrective actions to meet or exceed sales targets;
  • Monitor pricing strategies and promotions to optimize sales performance;
  •  Ensure exceptional customer service by establishing and maintaining high standards for customer interactions;
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns and ensure swift resolution to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty;
  • Develop and manage the retail budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to meet operational goals;
  • Analyze financial reports and KPIs to make data-driven decisions and adjust operations as necessary;
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements;
  • Prepare and submit regular operational reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement;
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to keep the company ahead of the curve;
  • Implement initiatives to improve the overall shopping experience and enhance customer retention;

Requirements

Academic qualification 

  • BA/MBA in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field;

Additional qualifications 

  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and customer service;
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams and achieving sales targets;
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment;
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented attitude and well-organized work ethic;
  • Experience in the FMCG Sector is advantageous;

Years of experience: 8+ years and above and 3 years in a management or leadership position.
