Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and well organized Secretary-Cashier to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for providing administrative support to management and ensuring efficient handling of front-desk operations while also managing daily financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, accuracy in cash handling, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle front desk reception including answering phones, greeting guests, and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments;
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and internal communication;
  • Maintain organized filing systems for administrative records, reports, and correspondence;
  • Draft and distribute letters, emails, reports, and memos as needed;
  • Provide general administrative support to hotel management and departments; 
  • Manage daily cash transactions including guest payments, deposits, and petty cash disbursement;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date cash registers and financial records;
  • Process invoices, receipts, and ensure timely documentation of all transactions;
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash and sales reports;
  • Reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies;
  • Liaise with the finance team for end-of-day settlements and banking activities.

Requirements

Academic qualification 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, Secretarial Science, Office Administration, or related fields.

Additional qualifications 

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); 
  • knowledge of hospitality software is an advantage;
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in both administrative and financial tasks;
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

Years of experience: 

  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in a hospitality setting.
