Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and creative Training & Capability Development Officer to design, deliver, and evaluate impactful learning programs that drive employee performance and support the organization’s strategic goals. The Training & Capability Development Officer will be responsible for conducting training needs analysis, designing engaging training content, delivering high-quality training sessions, managing external training providers, and measuring the effectiveness of all learning interventions across the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design annual training plans and individual development plans aligned with business priorities,
  • Develop and customize training materials, modules, e-learning content, and facilitator guides,
  • Deliver engaging soft-skills, technical, behavioral, and leadership training sessions (both in-house and off-site,)
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with external training providers, consultants, and training venues,
  • Manage the company’s Learning Management System  upload content, track completion, generate reports,
  • Organize induction/orientation programs for new joiners and ensure smooth on boarding experience,
  • Facilitate leadership development programs, coaching circles, and mentoring initiatives,
  • Roll out and monitor digital learning platforms and mobile learning solutions,
  • Maintain accurate training records, budgets, and vendor contracts, and certificates,
  • Support competency framework development and skills matrix updates,
  • Stay updated on the latest tools, and adult-learning methodologies relevant to the Ethiopian market,
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the L&D Manager,

Educational Qualifications;

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, or related fields.

 Required Skills:

  • Excellent training facilitation and presentation skills (able to deliver in English and Amharic fluently)
  • Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems 
  • Good project management and budgeting skills
  • Creative, energetic, and passionate about adult learning
  • Strong analytical skills to measure training impact
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and digital training tools
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality

Years of experience;

  • 5+ years of solid experience in training design, delivery, and coordination.
